In this article, you'll find helpful tips for preparing for your first with Zenjob.
Before you apply to any of the job offers, please always check the following:
- Are you available and able to work at the specified time?
- Do you know how to get to the job and back home?
- Do you meet the dress code and do you own any required equipment, such as safety shoes?
Applying for a job is not binding yet. Usually, before being booked, you will receive a push notification with a binding, time-limited offer that you can confirm directly in the Zenjob app. Make sure your push notifications are turned on!
In some cases, however, bookings may occur without prior confirmation on your end.
Therefore, we recommend regularly checking your open applications to keep track of them. If you are no longer sure whether you can or want to take on a job, you should withdraw your application immediately without any consequences. As long as your application is active, we assume that you are available and will show up for the job.
Please note that being booked for a job is binding. Therefore, we expect you to complete the job once booked.
Here is a short checklist to ensure everything goes smoothly on your first job:
- Read the description of the job and the instructions carefully before you start working. They contain information about dress code, location, contact persons, etc.
- Sign your work contract before the start of the shift.
- As a rule of thumb, be on-site 15 minutes before the start of the shift. This way you can buffer any delays and make sure you start on time.
- Don't forget to check in and out! Checking in and out is the basis of your payment at Zenjob. You will receive a notification in the app about 15 minutes before the job starts. If you forget, we have to assume that you did not show up and your payment can be delayed. If anything doesn't work as expected, reach out to us via Submit a Request or chat to submit your shift date and times.
- Communication is key. If you don't understand something, have problems with the app or the partner company, let us know.
- If you can not attend the job, please cancel your shift as soon as possible in the Zenjob app.
