Short-term employment has no earning limit like mini-Job and is also not limited to a certain number of hours. The social security contributions are not paid by the employer and the employee, but the tax liability remains.
In short-term employment you also do not have a permanent employment contract, you are only under contract for the time of your job - i.e. your shift. Therefore, there is an individual employment contract for each job. Why do I have to send Zenjob a contract for every job?
You will always receive a contract after you have successfully booked for a job. Please sign it before you start the job so that it is entered into our system.
For the sake of the environment, we offer the form of digital signature for this purpose. Sending the contracts by mail is no longer possible! How do I set up digital signature?
In short-term employment, you alone decide when you work, how much and how often, and thus also how much you earn per month. The only restriction is that you may not work more than a total of 70 days in a calendar year (i.e. from 01.01. to 31.12.) or within a general agreement. Why am I only allowed to work 70 days a year at Zenjob?
IMPORTANT: Short term employment is only possible if it is clear that this employment is not your main occupation. For example, a students main occupation is their studies, so they can work with Zenjob.
There are also exceptions in these cases:
- Students who study at universities that are not accredited by the state
- Students studying part time
- Students pursuing doctoral studies
- Students who are taking a semester off
In these cases, unfortunately, you can not work through Zenjob.
