If your other employer has informed you of a discrepancy or you notice it yourself, you can proceed as follows:
For example:
Unfortunately, you only realized that Zenjob had registered you in tax class 1 when you received your last payroll statement. As a result, your old job was no longer able to register you in tax class 1 and now had to register you in tax class 6, which meant that you had to make considerable deductions at your other job.
Solution:
We automatically unregister you with the tax office after your last shift of each month. At this point the ELSTAM data retrieval is completed and cannot be retroactively changed on our end.
Simply ask us for the date of unregistration with the tax office, and inform your main employer.
Your other employer can now unregister you using this reference date and register you again directly. This way, the main employer electronically registers the tax class to the tax office, which will in turn send us the message to pay you at tax class 6.
If you have not yet completed a shift in the current month and want to change your tax class, you can easily to this on your own via the Zenjob App:
Profile → Edit personal details → Tax class
Your tax class will then be updated accordingly for the current and future months.
