Why has my document been rejected?
To verify yourself for the Digital Signature, you need a valid identification document that meets the technical security requirements of the European Union's public online registry of authentic identity and travel documents (PRADO). If your document has already expired, ask the immigration office for a fictitious certificate (Fiktionsbescheinigung) with security features. It can not be a provisional certificate (vorläufige Bescheinigung).
A provisional certificate cannot be accepted because it does not meet the technical security requirements of the European Union's Public Online Register of Authentic Identity and Travel Documents (PRADO), which are necessary for the digital verification of your identity.
If your ID document does not meet the requirements of the public online register, it cannot be accepted.
Who checks the documents for verification?
Our service provider IDNow is responsible for verification. This means that it is not us at Zenjob who decide whether your document is accepted or not, but the employees of IDNow, who work according to the rules of the public online register. They are also responsible for the Digital Signature required for the online verification of your person, as Zenjob is a digital employment agency and we have switched completely to online processes.
Since everything at Zenjob has been digitized and your registration is entirely taking place online, this Digital Signature is mandatory for the verification of your person and for booking jobs.
During this process, you start a video call in which the employees check your valid ID document and compare all data and the photo with your face. Due to the strict specifications and security requirements of the online register, your provisional document cannot be used as a valid ID document, as it is only a confirmation document.
Unfortunately, IDNow does not accept provisional certificates at all and we do not have the possibility to activate them ourselves.
What can I do if I need a new residence permit?
If you need a new document, we will be happy to issue you with an employer certificate (Arbeitgeberbescheinigung) for your application for the new residence permit, stating that you absolutely need a valid ID document in order to continue working with us. This can be presented to the immigration authorities.
