We want to enable as many students as possible to earn money easily. However, because working at Zenjob is based on short-term employment (kurzfristige Beschäftigung), certain legal and formal requirements must be met.
Overview of Potential Reasons for Rejection
There are various reasons why we currently cannot accept you into our talent pool:
Student Status
- You are a pupil registered in a school (i.e. not in higher education) or in vocational education.
You are studying at a university that is not recognized by the state.
You study part-time, dual, or alongside full-time employment (berufsbegleitend).
You are enrolled in a continuing education or postgraduate program.
You are currently in a semester of leave (Urlaubssemester).
You are enrolled as a guest auditor, cross-registered student, or secondary auditor (Gasthörer, Zweithörer, Nebenhörer).
You are currently completing a preparatory/orientation program or a language course.
You are enrolled in a preparatory college (Studienkolleg).
You are pursuing a doctoral degree (PhD).
Legal & Identification
You have already worked 70 days in short-term employment in the current calendar year (regular minijobs do not count toward this).
You are receiving social benefits according to SGB II (Citizen's Benefit / Bürgergeld).
Your ID documents are not supported for digital identity verification and signature process. Here you can find an overview of the accepted ID documents on PRADO.
Non-EU/EEA Students
Your employment in Germany is not permitted, is restricted, or is not explicitly stated in your visa or supplementary sheet (Zusatzblatt).
Your work permit allows you to work only during semester breaks, is limited to a maximum of 10 hours per week, or excludes temporary work (Arbeitnehmerüberlassung).
You hold an Opportunity Card (Chancenkarte) or an EU Blue Card.
You have already worked 140 full or 280 half days in the current calendar year.
