What is a part-time offer?
A part-time offer is a mutual agreement of intent between Zenjob and a Zenjobber. By accepting, you agree to work several shifts within a defined period.
It is not a legal contract — actual contracts are still signed for each shift as usual.
Why should I accept a part-time offer?
A part-time offer offers you a guaranteed number of shifts for which you’ll receive priority booking, giving you a predictable income.
Where can I find open part-time offers?
In your Job feed, you'll find the section Unlock Job Offers. There, all suitable part-time offers will be displayed to you. When you click on an offer, you'll see all the details and requirements you need to meet. If you meet all the requirements, you can click on Consider me for this job and we will review your application.
Important: Joining a candidate pool does not guarantee that we will extend job offers to you. By unlocking new job opportunities, you demonstrate that you meet all the requirements and are generally interested in the job. We will consider you for the relevant jobs, but will always select the person who best meets the company's expectations.
What happens after joining the candidate pool?
Zenjob will contact you if you are eligible. The offer will be sent digitally for your review and acceptance in the app. Afterwards, we will call you to clarify any open questions.
How is this different from the general agreement?
The two agreements function together. The part-time offer adds obligations for both parties to uphold the agreed working shifts, but it is not a formal contract like the general agreement or individual work contracts. You must sign your work contracts separately, just like you do now.
Where can I find the details of my part-time offer?
Once you've accepted the offer, you’ll receive an overview of it via email.
How many shifts do I need to commit to?
The number of shifts will be agreed upon in advance and clearly stated in the offer (e.g. 12 shifts in 30 days).
What do the shift times in my offer mean?
In the offer description, you will sometimes see terms such as “morning” or “evening.” These indicate the time of day when the shift takes place. To help you plan better, here is an overview:
Night: 12:00 a.m.–3:59 a.m.
Morning: 4:00 a.m.–10:59 a.m.
Midday: 11:00 a.m.–12:59 p.m.
Afternoon: 1:00 p.m.–4:59 p.m.
Evening: 5:00 p.m.–7:59 p.m.
Night: 8:00 p.m.–11:59 p.m.
Can I choose which shifts I work?
Once you’ve signed the part-time offer, we’ll automatically book suitable jobs for you based on the availability you enter every week – without requiring any application or confirmation from your end.
That’s why it’s especially important to keep your availability up to date every week, so you don’t get booked for shifts you can’t attend.
What happens if I can’t complete all the shifts?
We expect you to commit to the number of shifts in the part-time offer. If you don’t commit, we may need to end the offer. Cancelling shifts may also result in further penalties based on our Code of Conduct.
What does Zenjob expect from me?
To ensure a successful part-time offer, the Zenjob's Code of Conduct applies:
- Fulfil the agreed number of shifts
- Be punctual and reliable at work
- Keep your availability updated every week to avoid incorrect bookings
Can I withdraw from the part-time offer after accepting it?
The part-time offer is based on mutual trust. You may withdraw if your situation changes, but please note that doing so may reduce your chances of getting other part-time offers in the future.
The part-time offer is a mutual sign of commitment – giving you financial stability and enabling our partner companies to plan long-term with you.
