Your employment contract with Zenjob applies exclusively to you. By booking a shift, you commit to performing the agreed work yourself. Substitution by third parties is contractually prohibited.
There are also clear legal requirements: Under the German Temporary Employment Act (Arbeitnehmerüberlassungsgesetz), Zenjob is only permitted to deploy you as a verified individual to the partner company. If someone else shows up for your shift, it violates the law and your employment contract.
Furthermore, this creates safety and liability risks: The partner company must know who is working on-site. Unauthorized individuals have no insurance coverage. In the event of accidents or damages, neither Zenjob nor the partner company is liable. Since Zenjob is required to submit employee data in advance, the partner company is not allowed to employ unregistered persons.
If you are unable to attend your shift for important reasons, you must cancel it as soon as possible in the Zenjob app. This is regulated in your employment contract under "Arbeitsverhinderung und Meldepflicht" (inability to work and reporting obligations). It is never permitted to simply send someone else. To cancel, go to My Jobs → Booked in your app, select the respective job, and provide a reason for the cancellation.
Important: If we find out that someone else shows up for your shift instead of you, this will result in the immediate deactivation of your account.
