You don’t need any special prior experience to work at Zenjob. You are employed under a short-term employment (kurzfristige Beschäftigung) that allows for up to 70 working days per tax year. Requirements include being of legal age, residing in Germany, holding a valid residence permit (if necessary), being a full-time student at a state-recognized university, and not being a high school student. We do not offer mini-jobs. Here’s an overview of all the important requirements for your registration.
Your employment type: Short-term employment
At Zenjob, you are employed under a short-term employment (kurzfristige Beschäftigung). This means that it is not a regular minijob. We generally do not offer minijob employment contracts.
The general agreement for your short-term employment is limited to one year and allows you to work up to 70 days per tax year. Upon request, this agreement can be extended after a legally required two-month break, so that you can use up any remaining days of the 70-day rule in the current tax year.
General requirements
- You are of legal age (at least 18 years old).
- You have an officially registered address in Germany.
- You hold a valid residence permit or work permit for Germany (if applicable).
Additional requirements
- You are enrolled full-time at a state-recognized university.
