Applying for a job in the app is not binding. You can withdraw your application at any time without any consequences. The job only becomes binding once you receive a booking confirmation.
Please note: Not all jobs require a confirmation from your site before booking. As long as your application is active, we assume that you are available and will show up for the job. Therefore check your open applications regualry and withdraw the ones you are no longer willing or able to fulfill.
Here’s how the booking process works:
1. Application:
- You apply for jobs that interest you in the app. As long as the job is listed under My Jobs → Applied, you can withdraw your application without any consequences.
- We recommend checking your open applications regularly to keep track of them. If you are no longer sure whether you can or want to take on a job, you should withdraw your application immediately.
2. Confirming the offer:
- Usually, before being booked, you will receive a push notification with a binding, time-limited offer that you can confirm directly in the Zenjob app.
- In some cases, however, bookings may occur without prior confirmation from your side. As long as your application is active, we assume that you are available and will show up for the job.
3. Booking confirmation:
- Once you have been booked, you will receive a booking confirmation in the app and via email. From this point on, the job is binding (My Jobs → Booked).
4. Employment contract:
- Before your shift, you must sign your employment contract in the app. Do not head to the job until you have both the booking confirmation and the signed employment contract – only then are you insured.
- You can find more details here: What happens if I work without an employment contract?
Important notes:
- The time it takes to get booked can vary, as we carefully review all applications – especially when a large number of applications are received or if the company is specifically looking for experienced support. Your availability may also be requested on short notice.
- For jobs with a waitlist, you will also receive an offer before you are booked. You may only make your way to the job after receiving the booking confirmation and signing your employment contract.
- Even with short-notice offers, you decide whether to accept them. If you accept one and realize you are running late, please still go to the job and inform us via the chat or by clicking Submit a request.
- Jobs with an "Instant booking" banner do not require any confirmation from your side. If your account matches this job, you will be booked immediately.
Please only apply for jobs that you can definitely attend. Canceling after being booked has negative consequences for your Zenjob account. Canceling after the shift has started or failing to show up (no-show) will lead to the deactivation of your account.
