We appreciate your interest in our job opportunities.
Generally, it is not unusual to receive a rejection. We're constantly improving our matching to focus even more on quality and experience. As a result, jobs will often stay visible longer before being booked—so you may see more jobs in your feed.
However, because you can now apply to more jobs, you might also receive more rejections if you don't yet have experience in that specific type of work or location.
There can be several reasons why an application is being rejected:
- If other applicants have more suitable experience, skills or training, they will be given priority.
- The demand for our jobs is very high.
- If you have not consistently adhered to our Zenjob Code of Conduct, you will be deprioritized when booking jobs until your behavior improves.
Here are a few tricks to improve your chances of getting your dream job:
- Focus on the same job types and companies.
- Build experience in one category.
- Be punctual and only book shifts that you can actually do.
- Be professional and adhere to the requirements of the job.
- Activate your push notifications. We'll let you know when a new job is a good fit for you.
- Complete your profile. Skills and previous experience could give you a decisive advantage. Complete one of our free training courses.
- Rate your jobs. We match companies and Zenjobbers who have had good experiences on both sides.
- Don't give up! The more you apply, the better your chances of getting a job.
- For jobs with short lead times, your chances of being booked are higher.
