We want to make sure every shift is filled by the best possible match. That’s why we review all applications carefully – especially when there are many applicants or when we’re prioritising experienced Zenjobbers. We are also improving our matching so that quality and experience count even more. In this way, we want to ensure that the jobs are the best fit for you - and that you are successful in the long term. Your application might therefore stay open longer before you receive an acceptance or rejection.
Don’t worry: It doesn’t mean your application was forgotten or that you did anything wrong. We’re simply taking more time to ensure the best fit.
Tip: Focus on jobs you already have experience in – this will significantly improve your chances of getting booked.
In the meantime, you can always check your open applications and withdraw them at any time without consequences if you no longer want them.
Usually, before being booked, you’ll receive a push notification with a binding offer that’s valid for a limited time and that you can confirm directly in the Zenjob app. Make sure your push notifications are turned on!
In some cases, however, bookings may occur without prior confirmation on your part.
We therefore recommend that you check your pending applications regularly so you can stay on top of things. If you’re no longer sure whether you can or want to take on a job, you should withdraw your application immediately without any consequences. As long as your application is active, we assume that you’re able to take on the job and will start working.
An accidentally confirmed offer is not an excuse for a short-term cancellation.
If you accept an offer, plan enough time to arrive at the workplace on time. If you’re running late, let us know immediately via chat or Submit request. A confirmed booking is binding, and cancelling it may affect your ability to use Zenjob in the future.
Please only travel to a job if you’ve received a booking confirmation and your work contract by email – only then are you insured for the journey.
