The waiting list gives you the opportunity to grab jobs that are already filled. With the right strategy and a little spontaneity, you can get even more out of our app.
How the waiting list works:
When we have filled a job, we sometimes activate a waiting list that all interested Zenjobbers can join. If a spot for that job becomes available again, we will offer it to the people on the waiting list who are qualified for it.
That means that if you are offered a job from the waiting list, it is essentially yours as long as you confirm quickly enough. We always notify several people on the waiting list at once. The first person to accept the offer will be booked. We recommend that you activate your Zenjob push notifications when you join a waiting list, as every second counts! The faster you accept the job, the more likely we are to book you.
Please note that joining a waiting list is non-binding. We will only book you for a waiting list job if you confirm it. You are also free to leave a waiting list at any time without any consequences.
Once you are booked for a job from the waiting list, the same cancellation rules apply as for all other booked jobs. Cancellation may have consequences for your future use of Zenjob. See: Overview of Misconduct and Consequences at Zenjob
When you join a waiting list, you will find the respective jobs under My jobs → Applied. If you are offered the job, you will receive a push notification that will take you to the job description. Here you can confirm whether you want to accept the offer or not.
Once the waiting list is closed, the status of the job will change to “Your application was unsuccessful.”
If you confirm an application at very short notice and are therefore late, please inform us of your delay via chat or the Submit a request button.
